Topics covered in this course:

Concept of Numbers

Building on the information in the KS1 modules we expand our understanding of concept of number by looking in more detail at place value and the commutative property of numbers. This module will also work alongside the fractions module to look at money and an introduction to decimals.

Fractions and decimals In this module, we deepen our understanding of fractions by looking at fractions of amounts as well as looking at decimal place value with tenths.

Time Here we will learn to tell the time to 5-minute intervals as well as look at calculations involving time. We will also introduce the concepts of AM and PM.

Measurements and data collection In this module, we expand our knowledge of the units of measurement ( cl, kg, mm and m for example) and look at ways of presenting data such as bar graphs and pie charts.

Shape This module introduces area and perimeter as well as degrees of angles as well as looking at the properties of irregular shapes and how to define them.
