Pip Rothwell

Founder and Managing Director

Pip worked as a DT teacher and head of department in mainstream schools for over a decade before setting up Technology Triumphs in order to help young people achieve creative qualifications from home. Before she went into teaching, Pip worked as a Communications Officer for Kent Police and held various roles in the NHS including within Recruitment and HR. Pip also has 2 sons whom she home educates and is constantly looking for new ways to support the community she is very much proud to be a part of.

Jo Austin

Creativity, Community and Course Consultant

Jo, who home educates her son, is responsible for managing our social media platforms, as well as consulting and contributing towards funded courses (including the Creativity and Mental Wellbeing course). Jo is the main assessor for our Creative Craft courses. She is particularly enthused by Photography and is our Course Lead and Assessor for this course. She is extremely passionate about Home Education and is always liaising with Pip on new projects and provisions for the community.

Stephanie Bird

Administrative Aide

Steph has two daughters and works behind the scenes with Pip assisting with all things admin. Steph has always worked alongside young people and also works at her local hospital as a Paediatric Care Assistant. Steph is particularly methodical in her work which makes her an integral part of the Technology Triumphs team. An avid baker, you may also see some of Steph’s work within our Cake Decorating courses where she created many of our tutorials.

Sally Brindley

Lead IQA and Assessor

Sally has worked as a DT and Creative teacher in mainstream schools for over 16 years specialising in Art Textiles and Food. She trained ‘on the job’ within the Graduate Teaching Program after working in both the private and public sector. Before teaching, Sally worked in many different jobs including hotel services, NHS, animal health and aviation covering all manner of expertise. Sally has 2 young children, 2 horses and a cat whilst still working in a secondary school and assessing and moderating for Technology Triumphs.

Lauren Sampson

Assessor

Lauren is a primary school teacher and has worked within education for six years. She has a passion for educating young people and has worked across both key stages within the primary setting. Prior to this, Lauren worked within the catering industry for several years and is an enthusiastic cook. Lauren utilises this previous experience in order to provide engaging and motivating feedback for our learners as an assessor within the Creative Craft Cookery courses.

Katie Richards

Creative Consultant

Katie, who was home educated herself, works in the T.V and Film industry and is our creative consultant. Katie is fantastically talented in the creatives and can seemingly turn her hand to any process or medium. Katie produces tutorials in a variety of mediums including special effects make up and cosplay costume design. You'll find Katie's tutorials within our Mixed Media courses, which ca be viewed on our YouTube channel.
